The new preparation of an urban development concept

Raumwerk D

Raumwerk D develops a spatial and overall strategic development perspective for Düsseldorf. Based on the three drafts of the planner teams and the preceding participation, a total of six elements were developed to make Düsseldorf fit for the future. These give the city a planning self-image (basic values), divide the urban structure and give it a face (spatial framework), pick up on global development trends and local conditions (spatial impulses), develop tasks and perspectives for Düsseldorf's urban spaces at the citywide level (the three structural plans), point out concrete recommendations for action for places where the city's future will be decided (key spaces), and develop initial steps that should lead to implementation (action program).
