Suitbert Schmitt

How planners can act and change at different scales to support interactions, design spatial constellations and build architectural interventions is something Suitbert Schmitt has been investigating since studying and researching at the Berlage Institute in Rotterdam and the Bergische Universität Wuppertal. He has been contributing his knowledge as a partner at urbanista since 2006 and was co-founder of Nexthamburg in 2009. His integral understanding of planning flows into the creation of urban development concepts, strategy and mission statement developments and as production manager in the creation of presentation products. His professional background includes an apprenticeship as a carpenter, studies in architecture as well as several positions in architectural offices and teaching architecture. Suitbert Schmitt manages urbanista GmbH & Co KG commercially and organisationally.
