Vincent Bunk is studying urban planning at HafenCity University in Hamburg with a focus on participation, citizen science and urban ecology. Building on his previous training as an IT specialist for application development, he is also working on algorithm-based data generation in the context of urban planning and various forms of online participation. In his thesis, he is currently working on the development of a tool for GIS-based identification of potential areas for stepping stone biotopes. After an initial internship, he has been working as a student assistant at urbanista since 2017. His main area of responsibility is the development of web tools, interactive maps and online participation platforms. Among other things, he was involved in the participation processes of the development concept "Raumwerk D" for the city of Düsseldorf and the "Stadtmacherei Eimsbüttel". In addition, he is responsible for the support of project websites and internal IT at urbanista.
