He also has many years of experience in cooperative neighbourhood development, e.g. as part of the collaboration with ZUsammenKUNFT Berlin eG on the "House of Statistics" and in participatory project development for private, civil society and public bodies in Winterthur, Lucerne, Basel and Zurich.
Philip Spring has an intense passion for qualitative approaches to critical urban research as well as cultural and political motives of stakeholder-driven urban development. He is also involved with these topics in the "Right to the City" network and other urban initiatives in Germany and Switzerland.
In doing so, he can draw on his broad academic background in urban design (M.Sc. HCU), urban/transport/spatial planning (B.Sc. FH) and social anthropology/ contemporary history (B.A.) as well as on his more than 20 years of involvement in the cultural sector.
